If you’re planning a ski or snowboard vacation, you’ll want to know as the highest resort in the Alps at over 10,500 feet, Val Tho’ gets the snow. And gets it earlier than most resorts. That’s important to know, especially during the kind of season we’re experiencing now.
Lower elevations are intended for beginner skiers. While advanced skiing is plentiful in the La Masse and Cime Caron areas. And there’s more in the other major resorts of the Three Valleys (Les Trois Vallées): Courchevel and Méribel. Les Menuires, in the same valley, is more family-focused.
In the village, the vibe is casual, with the demographic skewing younger.
Contrast with the glitz of Courchevel, and the nouveau tradition of Méribel.
There is plenty of accommodation available.
