Sutton is a skier’s mountain. No frills. They groom (and there are several green and blue runs around the I, II, and III chairlifts) but for the most part they are laissez-faire with conditions. So there’s no shortage of bump skiing at Sutton. If you can ski Sutton well, you can ski anywhere.
And if you like skiing in the trees (it’s called sous-bois here) you’re in the right place—Sutton is known for its extensive glade skiing.
The runs are also narrower than runs at other mountains. Uphill lift capacity is 11,800 pers./hour. All the chairlifts are numbered: I to VII.
I skied mid-week and never waited in a line.
