Le Massif. What a mountain. The highest vertical in Quebec (2,526 feet). And 250 inches of snow annually. With the “base” at the summit—you actually arrive at the top of the mountain and a huge parking lot! They also have a base base (at the bottom, and closer to the local town of Petite-Rivière-Saint François) with still more parking which, thankfully, wasn’t in use during my visit.
Infinite possibilities—the trails run lattice-like across the terrain—calling you to create your own combination. And at Le Massif the pitch is consistent right to the base—no long run-outs here.
RFID lift passes. A gondola that makes a turn part way up the mountain. A gourmet train trip to get to the resort from Quebec City. This is a ski mountain with a difference.
